Rawalpindi: Weapon case accused remanded
RAWALPINDI: A Special Court Rawalpindi here on Monday gave nine accused, allegedly involved in weapon stealing case, into police custody on a 7-day physical remand. The court directed the police to complete the investigation and present the accused before the court on January 4. The Aabpara Police Station on December 21 had registered a case against 10 police officials including SHO Malik NaeemIqbal, ASI Shan Muhammad, ASI ShabbirHussain, ASI Rafiullah Khan, ASI Mansoor Ahmed, ASI Muhammad Fiyaz, Constables Muhammad Owais, Muhammad Irshad, ShamimUllah Khan and Tariq Mir for their alleged involvement in weapons stealing from the police station. The weapons were recovered in the operation against Lal Masjid in 2006. SHO Malik NaeemIqbal got bail from the court three days before.
