Rawalpindi: Arrest warrants for crime scene expert
RAWALPINDI: The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No I on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for a crime scene expert for not complying with the court orders to record his statement in a terrorism case registered with Saddar Barroni Police Station. The court head by Chaudary Habib ur Rehman was trying an accused Muhammad Saleem to determine his alleged involvement in a terrorism case. According to details, the Saddar Barroni Police arrested Saleem in connection with the escape of an under trail prisoner, Javed, who gunned down a police constable, Ibrahim Tariq, and managed to escape from the police custody near Defence Road Morgah, when he was brought to the district courts.
During last hearing, the court summoned a crime scene expert, Khurum Shahzad, who examined the crime scene of the case, but the latter did not appear before the court to record his statement as a prosecution witness. The court issued his arrest warrants and directed him to appear before the court on January 27.
