Karachi: CID nabs 2 men for issuing fake NICs
KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested two people on Friday, who have been making fake National Identity Cards (NIC) for the last 15 years for different terrorist groups. The arrested men are Abdul Ghaffar alias Gullu and Arif alias Mehmood. Their arrests were made during a raid at their hideout situated near the passport office in Saddar area. “They made fake NICs for different terrorist groups,” CID SSP Fayyaz Khan told Daily Times. Khan said that the men have confessed that they did it to earn money. They worked for various terrorist organizations but the names of the organisations cannot be disclosed. It is believed that they made fake NICs for Bengalis, Burmese and illegal immigrants.
