Karachi: ACLU team booked in murder case of 4 Chaman friends
KARACHI: The Ferozabad police on Saturday have registered the second FIR against the team of the Anti–Car Lifting Unit (ACLU) involved in murdering four friends who had arrived from Chaman, Quetta to celebrate New Year in Karachi. An FIR No 32/09 (Under Section 302) was registered on behalf of Haji Lala, father of Zain-ul-Abideen, one of the victims of the incident. The murder FIR was registered against ACLU’s four-member team, who accidently killed the four friends at the end of 2008 and had tried to show that the four youngsters were killed in an encounter.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier on January 8, an FIR No 24/09 (Under Section 319 which describes to kill anyone mistakenly) was registered on behalf of Ferozabad SHO AurangzaibKhattak against ACLU Sub-Inspector Malik Irshad and his three team members. The sources said that one of the members of the team, Police Constable Zafar has been arrested and the raids for the arrest of the remaining policemen are being launched.
