Mirpur: Inter-provincial band of outlaws busted in AJK
MIRPUR: Bhimber police busted most–wanted inter–provincial gang of dacoits and burglars by rounding up two of the accused wanted by AJK police in various heinous crimes of dacoities, police said. “Cases have been registered against the accused in the concerned police station and further investigations are in progress”, disclosed Senior Superintendent of Police Bhimbher Ibrar Haider while talking to this correspondent on Saturday. He said that police have recovered huge quantity of the looted cash and the illicit arms from the possession of the arrested bandits including the ring leaders identified as Muhammad Salim s/o Gulzar and Muhammad Rafique s/o Muhammad Yar of DhokeLalian village of Bhimber district.
Giving details of the arrest of the bandits, SSP said that a special police party headed by DSP Head Quarter Raja Irfan Salim and comprising DSP Investigation Mirza Sahid Hussain, SHO Barnala Inspector Nadeem Arif, Inspector CIA Muhammad Amin, SHO Sohail Yousaf and other police officers raided the village Gurrah Lallian and nabbed two accused who were wanted to the police in six different cases of dacoities and murder in different parts of the district including the recent dacoity near Sokasen on Bhimbher – Jartlan Highway in which one person Ch. Khizer Hayat of Chachian was killed in the firing by the accused on the car in which they were travelling. The SSP said that cases have been registered against the accused and further investigations are in progress.
