Karachi: Alleged killers of Chaman-based
KARACHI: The Judicial Magistrate, East, Inam Ali Kalhoro, sent two police personnel, Malik Irshad and constable Zafar to police remand till Jan 19 for their alleged involvement in the killing of four traders from Chaman around midnight of December 31 on Khalid Bin Walid Road. Anti–Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) officials, including Inspector Malik Irshad and his team, killed Haji Mohammed Tahir Achakzai, Obaidullah Khan Tareen, Mohammed Ibrahim Achakzai and Zainuddin Khan Achakzai.
The suspended ACLC SHO, booked along with his three subordinates for the murder of the four traders, surrendered himself to the police on Sunday. The constable wanted in the case was arrested on Saturday. A murder case was registered against the ACLC team on the complaint of Haji Lal Khan, the father of one of the four victims, Zainuddin, only after the Supreme Court took a suomoto notice and ordered the police to book the suspects. The Ferozabad police had registered a case under Section 319 (Qatl-e-Khata or unintentional murder) against the police officials.
