Rawalpindi: Drug peddler given 14 years in jail
RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdur Rehman Awan on Tuesday sentenced a drug peddler to 14-year imprisonment and Rs 50,000 fi Separately, Additional District and Sessions Judge Ghulam Mehdi Khan on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for four cops for not appearing in the court to record their statements in a narcotics case. Raheem Khan, a resident of Peshawar, was arrested by Pirwadhai police in November 2005 from the general bus station for possessing around 10 kg hashish.
In the light of incriminating evidence, the court awarded him imprisonment and fine. The convict will have to undergo a further one–month in jail in case of default on payment of fine.
