Rawalpindi: ANF seizes large quantity of heroin, chars
RAWALPINDI: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Rawalpindi foiled two attempts to smuggle narcotics abroad and arrested six smugglers including five foreigners from Islamabad International Airport. ANF officials informed The Nation here on a tip off, ANF intercepted a passenger Aziz Shah, resident of Peshawar from Bangkok bound flight No. TG–350 and recovered 0.55Kg fine quality of Heroin, which was concealed in the false cavities of his shoes and packets of sweets.
In the second operation, ANF prevented a Philipino lady smuggler Marites Lardizabal form Islamabad-Bangkok flight No PK-892 and recovered 1.10Kg off white Heroin hidden in the fake cavities of her suitcase.
During the course of investigations she divulged regarding her accomplices. Later, ANF authorities conducted raid on the basis of information gathered from her at Daewoo Bus Stand Rawalpindi and arrested M baji Celestine Izuchukwu, a citizen of Nigeria, along with three women namely Suwakon Prabseang from Thailand, Jessy Lienawati dweller of Indonesia and Tran Thuyenly citizen of Vietnam and recovered 3.85Kg Heroin and 5Kg charas form their possession.
