Karachi: Suspect in IGP, CCPO threat case sent into custody
KARACHI: Justice Salman Ansari remanded a tailor who used to stitch uniforms for top police officials on Thursday to the Mithadar Police Station in his capacity as the Administrative Judge (AJ) of Anti Terrorism Courts for the Karachi division. The tailor had been detained on charges of threatening police officials and has been remanded till January 21. The accused, Fahim Ahmed, allegedly extended threats over the telephone to Sindh IGP and the CCPO on New Year’s Eve. A case was registered against him and investigations were conducted on the day of the incident.
The man was nabbed on Wednesday and was produced before the AJ. The investigating officer sought physical custody remand of the accused in a case registered under section 25 of the Telephone and Telegraph Act and section 506 ( B) of the PPC.
