Islamabad: Man awarded death sentence
ISLAMABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Shaukat Mahmood Thursday awarded death sentence to an accused in a murder case besides imposing a fine of Rs100,000 which will be paid to the heirs of the man he killed. The Shahzad Town Police registered a case against Muhammad Zaheer for allegedly killing his nephew Tanvir on December 14, 2006. According to the FIR, Muhammad Zaheer opened fire on Tanvir when he was going to his relatives with his father Muhammad Hanif. After finding Muhammad Zaheer guilty, the judge awarded him death sentence under Section 302(b) and imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on him.
