Karachi: 2 killed in City; 3 robbers held
KARACHI: Crime Investigation Department has arrested three robbers here on Thursday. According to details, SSP CID Fayyaz Khan on a tip off arrested three notorious dacoits from Jauhar More, Gulistan–e–Jauhar and recovered three TT pistols. During investigation culprits have confessed scores of robberies. They were accused of continuous assaulting number of women during the robberies. Police have registered the FIR 27/2009. Meanwhile, a man killed over personal enmity when he reached Karachi here on Thursday.
Police said Haji Muhammad Khan, 55, reached Karachi from Waziristan but some unknown assailants shot him dead as he took the inter-city bus. Police said that the deceased had an old enmity and his enemies came to know about his arrival therefore they killed him soon after his arrival in Karachi. Police have registered an FIR and handed over the body to his family after autopsy.Similarly, some unknown persons killed a man and injured his wife and child in the jurisdiction of Awami Colony police station. The reason behind the incident is reported to be a personal enmity. Police said two armed men barged into the house located in Awami Colony and opened fire. Resultantly, Rabnawaz, his wife Yasmin and a six-month-old infant Irfan sustained bullet injuries.
They were taken to the hospital while Rabnawaz succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital. Police said that the deceased had a second marriage with Yasmin. Police suspected that it seems that the culprits wanted to kill Yasmin and her both children and this pointed that Yasmin had committed elopement with the deceased.
