Police nab 2 in Kabul fraud case from Nowshera
NOWSHERA: After investigating the sole arrested foreign NGO worker, the Police apprehended two of his mates from Nowshera in the Kabul fraud case.
The News reported Wednesday that the Police have also recovered $72,000 from their possession.
According to Police sources, Wajid Babar, a worker of an NGO operating in Kabul, gave the location of his companions hiding in the border area. After getting the information, the Police raided the Pir Piyai area in Nowshera, capturing Luqman Babar and Sheraz Babar.
District Police Officer Nowshera, Nisar Tanoli told media persons that the accused Wajid called his two men in Afghanistan where he received $72,000.
DPO further informed that the recovered money has been handed over to Afghan officials while the arrested persons would be tried under Pakistan law.[google-map]
