Authorities seize over 64kg charas
LAHORE: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Cantt Division Lahore and City Division in a joint operation arrested two drug traffickers and seized over 64-kg charas, The News reported.
Citing the press release of the CIA Lahore, the channel reported that the authorities grabbed 64-kg and 200 grams charas from the drug pushers.
On the direction of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore, the SSP Investigation assigned a task to CIA SP Muhammad Umer Virk to arrest persons involved in narcotics business.
The CIA SP constituted two special teams under the supervision of City CIA DSP Khalid Abubakar and Cantt CIA DSP.
The City CIA team arrested a drug pusher, Khushi Muhammad and seized 37-kg and 800-gram charas from him while his accomplice Rafique managed to escape the raid.
The Cantt CIA team raided and arrested a drug pusher, Mujahid Ahmad alias Pappu and seized 26-kg and 400-gram charas from his possession.
During investigation, accused Mujahid revealed that he met with Shahid Khan Pathan in Camp Jail who offered him to start narcotics business and on his behalf he had been selling drugs in different areas of the capital metropolis on wholesale basis.
The CCPO has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the members of the police teams, including Sub-Inspector Karamat Ali, ASIs Muhamamad Ishfaq, Muhammad Shakeel, Head Constables Munir Ahmad, Rashid Ahmad, Habib Hussain, Constables Muhammad Saddique, Raknu-ud-Din and Muhammad Ahsan.[google-map]
