Political rivals trade fire, shoot dead a man
KARACHI: A clash between two political rivals in Phase II, Gulshan-e-Hadeed within the limits of Steel Town police station resulted in death of a young man here Sunday, Daily Times reported.
The. Bin Qasim Town SP Arshaf Zubair said the clash took place after a minor quarrel.
He said during the gunfight, a Punjab Front activist named Tahir, 26, was killed and moved to the hospital where his companions started rioting and damaged the furniture.
The protesters also blocked the National Highway over the killing of the man. The protesters pelted passing vehicles with stones and burnt tyres on the roads leading to Bin Qasim Town.
Sources said that police shot and wounded four other PF activists when they reached the spot to control the situation.
No arrest was made till the filing of this report.
