Death penalty for murderer of 12-year-old girl
KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Karachi announced Tuesday death penalty for the murderer of a 12-year-old girl besides handing down life imprisonment to his partner.
The News reported Wednesday that two men, named as Mohammad Ayub and Ahsan, were prosecuted in the ATC for kidnapping and killing the 12-year-old girl, Kulsoom from Mochko.
Ayub was the girl’s tutor who kidnapped her from her house on December 21, 2008 and demanded of her family a ransom of Rs300,000.
After failing to receive the ransom, the duo killed the girl on December 23 and dumped her body in the water tank of an under-construction house.
The two men kept asking for the ransom from her father even after assassinating her. The child’s body was found after both of the kidnappers were arrested and questioned.[google-map]
