Karachi: Customs foils bid to smuggle heroin packets
KARACHI: The Drug Enforcement Cell of Pakistan Customs kept vigilance on drug trafficking Tuesday when they foiled a bid to smuggle a consignment of about half a kg of heroin at Jinnah International Airport, Daily Times reported.
The consignment was packed neatly in two postal parcels which were due to be routed to Spain.
During routine checking at the International Mail Office at Shahrah-e-Faisal, the Customs officials seized the packets containing almost half a kg heroin. According to initial investigations, the parcels were registered from Sheikhupura and Lahore.
