Karachi: Police defuse 4 bombs
KARACHI: The country’s biggest metropolis avoided a huge act of terrorism Tuesday when the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused four bombs planted on an electricity pole near Mochko check post in Mauripur Police Station limits.
The Daily Times quoted BDS Sub-Inspector Ghulam Mustafa as saying that the Squad reached the site after receiving information from the police.
All four local-made bombs, which were planted in the pylon to cause power supply suspension from Baldia Town to Hub Chowki, were defused, the official added.
The officer also said that each bomb contained one kilogramme of high explosives with detonators.
