Rawalpindi: 3 handed life sentence in drug cases
RAWALPINDI: Three drug-traffickers were slapped life sentences by different courts in separate cases here Monday, The News reported Tuesday. In the first case, Special Judge Arshad Mehmood Tabassum, after Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) registered case under Section 9-C against two drug-pushers namely Dadan Khan and Noor ul Haq for carrying 126kg Charas in 2007, handed them life imprisonment besides Rs500,000 fine on each of the accused. In another case, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Raja Pervez Akhtar slapped life sentence to Riaz Ahmed and a Rs500,000 fine for drug trafficking under Section C-9. 42kgs of Charas was recovered from him on February 13, 2010.
