PESHAWAR: An unknown militant outfit, Asian Tigers, which abducted two former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) officers and a journalist, have presented a new list of demands for the release of the kidnapped, The News reported Thursday.
KARACHI: As reported by the Daily Times Thursday, four political activists were gunned down while another one wounded in different parts of the metropolis on Wednesday. As per details, Shakeel Ishaq alias Hakla (36) was shot dead by two unknown men in Pakistan Bazaar of Orangi Town, Tauseef Kakar (30) was killed in Surjani Town, Ikram wounded in Taiser Town, Kashan Shabab Raza Haider (23) murdered in Paposh Nagar, while Azhar Waris Khan alias Raju was killed at Maskan Chowrangi.
LAHORE: Anti-vehicles Lifting Staff Iqbal Town Division nabbed Enfos Peter alias Asif Billa s/o Peter Gul and with him his gang of carjackers, including Mohammad Amin alias Raja s/o Akbar Ali, Wednesday besides recovering a vehicle, the Express News reported Thursday. The arrested criminals have confessed stealing at least six cars from the area.
DAGGAR: Security forces, in two separate clashes with the militants, got rid of four terrorists Wednesday in the Dokada and Karakar Village areas in the District Buner, The News reported Thursday. In Dokada, militants retaliated after forces launched a search operation, during which three militants were flushed out while in Karakar Village, forces killed another militant, Saleem, after intercepting him.

RAWALPINDI: Sajjad Hussain Sundhar, Additional District and Session Judge, slapped death penalty on a man, Muhammad Raseeb for killing Muhammad Aqeel in 2006, besides imposing Rs200,000 fine, The News reported Thursday. The Murree Police Station had registered the case under Section 302.
