Kohat turns violent after women die in hospital
KOHAT: An alleged negligence by medical staff at Women and Children Hospital (WCH) that resulted in death of a woman, Fazeela Begum, resident of Mamozai Village, sparked violent protests across the city Wednesday as protestors demanded arrest of the responsible lady doctor, the Dawn News reported Thursday.
The injection of wrong blood group during a normal delivery case by Dr. Sahiba Noor resulted in the death. This was the third case of medical negligence in the city as earlier Amina, resident of Mian Garhi had died in private operation theatre of Dr. Fazal Ahmed and an alleged over-doze of anaesthesia by Dr. Musarrat Jabeen, who teaches at the Kohat Medical College as Medical Professor, during an operation resulted in the death of another woman from Mian Garhi.
