Lahore: LHC recalls order granting woman to marry convict
LAHORE: As reported by the Dawn News, on Wednesday Lahore High Court Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry recalled an earlier order wherein he granted Laiba Sehar to marry her convict fiancé, and issued a show-cause notice to her for concealing facts from the court, after hearing a review petition filed by Sehar’s father Muhammad Sarwar.
Sarwar said her daughter’s real name was Sidra Kanwal and she was married to Nadeem Ahmed since April 2009. He said Sehar lodged a suit for dissolution of marriage and got ex parte decree on Jan 20, 2010. On the other side, Ahmed got a case filed about the abduction of his wife Sehar (Sidra Kanwal) because he was not cognizant of the suit filed for the annulment. The judge sent her to Darul Aman and directed the superintendent to produce her on June 22.
