Rawalpindi: ANF nabs 8, seizes drugs
RAWALPINDI: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) joined hands with the Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Attock Police to clampdown on drug smugglers on Thursday and arrested at least eight of them including two women and seized huge quantity of drugs from their possession, The News reported Friday. The joint teams raided Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Lehtrar Islamabad and Burhan Interchange and recovered 21.8kg heroin and 35.1kg hashish. During the raid, the team also apprehended Zubair Khan s/o Behram Khan (Islamabad), Babar Nawaz s/o Muhammad Nawaz (Gujrat), Ziarat Gul s/o Haji Sultan Jan (Peshawar), Muhammad Idrees s/o Taj Muhammad (Mardan), Muhammad Alamgir s/o Noor Hadeem (Mardan), and Nurgac Khan s/o Raja Mehmood (Islamabad). The women arrested were Verenas Daka (foreigner) and Abida Khatoon w/o Muhammad Shahzad and were proceeding to Harare and Bangkok.
