Karachi: 5 more lose race of life against target killers
KARACHI: The current wave of target killing continued to haunt Karachiites all Tuesday night long as five more people lost their lives in different parts of the metropolis, the Daily Jang reported Wednesday. In New Karachi Sector 5-C, a policeman, Zahid –deputed at Nazimabad Police Station—was shot dead when he came back from his duty. At least 11 rounds were fired at him. In Lyari near Mauripur Bus Stop, some unknown persons sprayed bullets on Javed Pathan alias Javedan, a drug pusher wanted by Police in at least 15 cases. In Garden area, a youth was gunned down who was activist of a religious organisation. In Dalmia, a person was shot dead by unidentified men. The Police found a Russia-made bomb from the possession of the murdered, which was later defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad. The death toll in the incidents of target killings during the last three days has reached 14.
