Karachi: 18 target-killed in 3 days
KARACHI: At least 18 people, including activists of religious parties and outfits and Police and Rangers personnel, were target-killed during the last three days in the biggest metropolis of the country, the Daily Jang reported Thursday. In the latest acts of target killing, a Rangers personnel, Suhail Abbas, was shot dead in the Garden Shoe Market this morning. Last night, 28-year-old Owais, an activist of a defunct religious organisation, was murdered in the Khawaja Ajmer Nagri area. In Ranchore Lane, 25-year-old Shahid was gunned down, while a police official was killed in New Karachi Sector 5-C. In PIB Colony, a person, Tariq, was target-killed, while in Garden area another activist of a religious outfit was shot dead. Three more lost their lives in the areas of Nagan Chowrangi and Lea Market. Police have failed to keep a lid on these incidents and not even a single arrest could be made till filing of this report.
