Muzaffargarh: Plaintiff family, doctors reach compromise
MUZAFFARGARH: As reported by the Dawn News, doctors of DHQ Hospital and the family of a man, Khalid Majeed (who died on May 23 due to the alleged negligence of two doctors of the DHQ Hospital), drew back the cases they had filed against each other on Monday. However, MNA Jamshed Dasti and workers of political party were not given any relief.
According to details, after Majeed’s death, his family contacted MNA Dasti for support, and later they allegedly tortured doctors. Seeing reaction of the family, the city police to file a murder case against the doctors. On the orders of high-ups, the city police lodged a case under Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) against MNA Dasti, 18 workers and 60 unidentified people after the Lahore High Court’s chief justice took suo motu notice of the incident.
Rashid Majeed, deceased’s brother, requested On Monday an additional sessions judge that he want to withdraw the case against doctors. Doctors also took back their case and withdraw the names of traders and shopkeepers but claimed that FIR was not withdrawn against MNA Dasti and the party’s workers.
