19 more downed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: As reported by The News, after the MPA Raza Haider’s assassination on Monday, 19 more people were killed on Tuesday. 25 shops, 10 trucks, 15 other vehicles were burned down in different parts of the city. The death toll in the two-day violence rose to 49. The police have caught 20 suspects belonging to banned Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LJ) and charged them for the killing of the Member of Parliament. A case regarding the assassination of Mr. Haider, his gunman Khalid Khan and activist Arsalan has been lodged against unknown persons at the Nazimabad Thana on the complaint of deceased MPA’s nephew




The persons killed were including,  Barkatullah (Korangi Industrial Area police limits), Mohammed Asim (Malir City police limits), Rehan (Zaman Town police limits), Anwer Ali and Mazhar (Baldia Town), Sher Mohammed (Rizvia Society area), Shabbir Ahmed (Paposh Nagar police limits), Basheer (Khwaja Ajmer Nagri), Naveed Khan (Jamshed Quarters police limits), Altaf Hussain (Gujjar Nullah), Gul Rehman and Ameen Zaman (Sir Syed), Noor Zaman (New Karachi Industrial Area,NKIA), Jalad Khan (Peerabad police limits), Asghar Khan (Arambagh police limits), Ismail Khan (Peerabad area).
