Attock: Power riots death toll reaches 2
ATTOCK: According to the Dawn News, the Attock Saddar police registered a case against 45 people (25 out of them have been arrested) who took to the streets against frequent power breakdowns on Wednesday under the terrorism act for attacking policemen, public property, vehicles and PAC checkpost, as the death toll from the riots reached 2 on Thursday. Mushtaq Ahmed (r/of Haji Shah), died when a constable of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, identified as Sher Ali Shah, (guarding a VIP motorcade), opened fire at a group of protesters blocking the road. Another protester, Mohammad Akhtar, had died on the spot. The Attock Khurd police filed two murder cases against the constable.
