4 people target-killed in Karachi
KARACHI: The menace of target killing returned to Karachi on Sunday evening as at least four people were gunned down in different parts of the metropolis, The News reported Monday. In the first incident, two people including a shopkeeper, Imran, were killed by unknown armed persons in the Shoe Market of Usmanabad within the limits of Garden Police Station. The armed persons were trying to force the shopkeepers to close their shops. The Police later arrested the killers, Sohail and Naveed. In another incident in the same area, a passerby, Gulzar (50), was shot dead by unknown desperados. In yet another incident, a man, Abid, was gunned down in Dawood Goth within the jurisdiction of Malir City Police Station by his enemies. An activist, Irfan Qadri (27), of a religious political party was shot dead inside Mehfooz Sheermal Wali Gali in Ranchore Lane area within the remits of Garden Police Station.
