Karachi: Kids dispute results in 2 murders
KARACHI: Two persons were killed on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr over children’s disputes reported in two different incidents. Pervez, 32, was shot dead in the Baldia Town police limits. Sub-Inspector (SI) Asghar of Baldia police station said that the incident took place in the Rasheedabad area. It was the first day of Eid. Pervez’s children were playing in Rasheedabad along with the neigbour’s children. The children got into a scuffle. Later they informed their elders. Accused Haji Abdul Rasheed, Mustafa alias Gulla and others came over to the residence of Pervez and started fighting with him. During the conversation accused Haji Abdul Rasheed and Mustafa took out arms and opened fire killing Pervez and tried to flee. When the police reached the spot the accused opened fire upon the policemen and an encounter took place. After the encounter the police arrested Haji Abdul Rasheed, Safdar Rehman and Kashif, while accused Mustafa managed to escape under the cover of fire. Shahzad, 25, was shot dead, while Bilal, 14, was injured in the Soldier Bazaar police limits. During probe, it was found that it was on Friday evening when children belonging to the Shahzad family and Ramazan family had entered into a dispute and they had informed their elders about the matter. The accused persons Ramazan and Mehboob came over to the house of Shahzad on late Friday night and after another argument opened indiscriminate fire killing Shahzad on the spot and injuring a passer-by Bilal, 14, and fled.
