Bannu: Militants blow up 2 schools
BANNU: The News reported on Wednesday that two government schools were blown up in Bannu district early Tuesday, official sources said. The sources said one classroom of the Government Boys Primary School in Pepal Daudshah was destroyed when explosive devices planted by unidentified persons went off early in the day. The police spotted another unexploded bomb weighing 10 kg, which was hidden in a tin. The bomb disposal unit officials defused the second bomb, the sources said. Meanwhile, a room of the Government Boys Primary School in Alam Daudshah was also blown up by unidentified persons. No casualty was, however, reported in the blast. No group had claimed responsibility for the attacks till filing of this report.
