Kasur: Villagers detain 4 cops
KASUR: As reported by the Dawn News on Wednesday, the villagers of Kanganpur detained four policemen, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), when the latter entered the house of a complainant of a murder case on Monday night and forced the family to stop prosecuting the case. Later, the Kanganpur Station House Officer (SHO) got his men freed after assuring the villagers of registration of a case against the policemen. ASI Raheel Ahmad and constables Zahid Arif, Mohammad Iqbal and Zakar Husain, entered Naseem Nasir’s house and threatened the family members of dire consequences if they did not stop prosecuting the murder case. The family raised hue and cry on which villagers besieged the house, considering that some dacoits had stormed the house.
