Karachi: Man shoots dead younger brother
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on Sunday, a teenage boy shot dead his younger brother after a brief scuffle in a Korangi area on Saturday, police said. They said the suspect was booked and arrested minutes after the incident with an unlicensed pistol by the Korangi Industrial Area (KIA) police. “The incident took place in the second half of the day,” said Inspector Asif Jakhrani, the SHO of the KIA police station. “As told by an elder sister of the brothers — 19-year-old Zeeshan and 13-year-old Noman — came to her home in Mehran Town a few days back with a cousin of theirs to stay overnight.” In the afternoon the two brothers got engaged in an argument and exchanged hot words before involving in a brief scuffle. “During the scuffle Zeeshan took out a pistol and fired a single shot that hit Noman on the left side of his upper torso. He fell down and died after a few seconds on the spot,” added Inspector Jakhrani. The family members later overpowered him and called the police. The suspect was booked in an FIR (919/2010) under Section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code. A separate case was also registered against him (FIR 920/2010) under Section 13-D of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance 1965 for possessing illegal weapon.
