Saidi: Rivals burn down 12 houses
SUKKUR: According to the Dawn News on Friday, a group of armed men attacked Saidi village near Gambat town on Thursday and set fire on 18 houses belonging to their rivals. The armed men belonging to Hayat Chandio group attacked the village and opened indiscriminate firing on the house of one Mukhtiar Chandio. Later, they set fire on 18 houses and took away cattle heads along with them before fleeing. The villagers complained that personnel of police and fire fighters arrived very late despite being informed in time about the attack and fire. They had to put off the fire on their own, they said. They said that Hayat Chandio group attacked the village to take revenge of the killing of one Arbab Chandio two days ago.
