Islamabad: Murder at guest house in G-9/4
ISLAMABAD: As reported by the Dawn News on Monday, an unknown man was found murdered in a guest house here on Sunday. Police, called by the management of Aliz Guest House in G-9/4, found the body hidden under the bed in the room after the guest staying there had left on Saturday telling the management that he was going to bring his family but did not return. The police believed that the murdered man was poisoned as the body, shifted to Pims mortuary, was all blue. A waiter of the guest house told police that he saw guest Ihtisham Rafique talking with the murdered man on the lawn on Saturday evening when he brought tea for them. Rafique told the waiter to take the tea to his room. Malik Khurram Abbasi, owner of the guest house, told police that Rafique, a native of Bahawalpur who was living in Lahore, booked the room on September 24. He arrived at the guest house on September 25 at around 3pm and stayed there till 9pm, he added. Before leaving the guest house, Rafique paid two days’ rent of Rs3,000 and left along with the room’s key, saying he was going to receive his family at Faizabad bus terminal. But he never returned. The guest house’s other employees said they did not notice any visitor meeting Rafique. Foul smell coming from the room on Sunday caught the attention of the employees who, along with the owner, unlocked the room. They found the body with hands and legs tied. The police said they would approach Nadra to get details about Rafique.
