Karachi: 2 youth gunned down in Baldia Town
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on Saturday, two young tenants of a house in Naval Colony, Baldia Town, were shot dead on Friday over what police described as a personal dispute. The police said that two armed men knocked at the door of a house in Phase IV of the Naval Colony and waited. The house having two different portions was rented to a family and a 33-year-old man, Tanveer, some time ago. The attackers fired multiple shots at Tanveer as he opened the door. “The gunfire alarmed the other tenant, 29-year-old Zahid, who lived along with his wife and their daughter in the other portion,” said an official at the Saeedabad police station. The official said that Zahid also was shot dead as soon as he rushed out through another door of the residence. He said the bodies were later shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. “Both the victims hailed from Sheikhupura. It seems that the armed men had come to murder Tanveer over some personal enmity, but also fired at Zahid when he spotted them,” added the official.
