Karachi: Man killed, 3 injured over land quarrel
Karachi: According to The Nation, a man was killed and three persons were wounded over a land dispute while police arrested two persons at Sain Dadu Goth near Ayub Goth within the limits of Sohrab Goth police station. According to the DSP Irfan Bahadur, the deceased namely 35-year-old Anwar son of Salahuddin resident of same area was gunned down over dispute of land’s possession with Jumman Buladi and Ghulam Shabbir Buladi. The clash between the deceased and the accused persons occurred when Anwar was constructing his house while other residents of the area prevented him for grabbing extra land. Police intervened to resolve the dispute earlier but Anwar started the construction again and the dispute changed into the gun battle and resultantly Anwar died on the spot, three others wounded including Ghulam Haider, Jannat Bibi and Malik Waseem. Police reached the spot and shifted the body and injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities and treatment. Following the murder, police conducted a raid and arrested Jumman Buladi and Ghulam Shabbir Buladi and recovered one repeater and one TT pistol from their possession. In another incident, a watchman was killed while another man was wounded in the remits of Sharah-e-Faisal police station. SHO Rustam Nawaz said both victims hailed from Hazara Division, identified as Arshad, 38 and injured Wazir Yousuf, 22 used to work as watchmen in the Sunny View Apartment located near Gulistan-e-Jauhar Chowrangi. Both were doing their job when culprits came by a red colour car and escaped after shooting them.” As a result, Arshad died on the spot while Yousuf was admitted to the JPMC with critical wounds. Police found bullets riddled tortured marks body in Noorani Graveyard within the limits of Zaman Town police station. SHO Abdul Nabi Khokar said police rushed to the spot when the local persons of the area informed it about the body lying in graveyard. He added the culprits had tied hands and legs with rope before killing an apparently 30-year-old man and gunned him down at the said place after kidnapping. Apparently, Urdu speaking unknown man was wearing black shirt and blue jeans trousers. Police shifted the body to morgue for identification after autopsy at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
