Rawalpindi: Inspector charged in ‘false’ narcotics case
RAWALPINDI: As reported by the Dawn News on Tuesday, A police inspector was booked on the charge of implicating a man in a fake narcotics case, police said on Monday. Inspector Chaudhry Imtiaz from the Gunjmandi police station was investigating a case of police raid on a gambling den in which he had booked one Sher Ali. The police said Mr Ali was also accused of processing 500 gms of charas. However, during trial in the court of law, the investigating officer could not produce any evidence against the accused. As a result, the sessions judge, Sajjad Hussain Sindhu ordered the Gunjmandi police to register a case against the official under the Police Order 2002.
