Karachi: Death threats case bail refused
KARACHI: The News reported on Wednesday, the Additional District and Sessions Judge, East, Sanaullah Ghori, rejected the bail application of three of the suspects allegedly involved in cheating and threatening a citizen over cash. Mohammed Saleem, Aslam, and Saleemuddin appeared in the court on Tuesday for the confirmation of their bail before application in a case related to a business deal. As soon as the bail before arrest (BBA) was rejected the police handcuffed them. Qari Mohammed Rustam lodged a complaint against them at the Zaman Town police station that he gave the money to three of them for a business deal and when he demanded it back, they threatened him with dire consequences. A case under 506-B, 147, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered against them. Deputy-Public Prosecutor Younus Baloch strongly opposed the BBA on the grounds that they threatened Rustam with death and also caused disruption in the area. The court, after hearing the arguments, rejected the bail.
