Karachi: Dead body of PSM official found
Karachi: As reported by The News on Thursday, an Assistant Manager of the Pakistan Steel Mills was found dead within the PSM premises under mysterious circumstances. A case was registered at the Bin Qasim police station. The two-day old dead body of Iftikhar Hussain, 52, was found from Bin Qasim police limits. SHO Adeel Azhar said that the body was found from Blast Furnace department of PSM. Investigations revealed that two days ago he went to the blast furnace for work. After that nobody knows anything about his whereabouts. On Wednesday morning, when the staff went there for work they found the dead body of Iftikhar Hussain which was also slightly burnt, they immediately moved the body to the hospital, during examination and investigation it was found that the deceased fell unconscious after being hit by some hard object, probably an iron rod. And later died on account of inhalation of smoke and other lethal chemicals. The deceased was residing in the PSM hostel in Gulshan-i-Hadeed, Steel Town alone, while his family were residing in Murree. A case was reported and investigation is underway.
