Karachi: Gunman shoots, wounds 2 in Jauhar
KARACHI: As reported by The News on Thursday, Khalid Anwer, 60, a trader, along with his son Abdul Rehman, 27, were intercepted by a lone gunman in the Sharea Faisal police limits early Wednesday morning, who fired at them whereby both father and son were hit by four bullets each while the car which was hit by a hail of bullets was totally damaged. SHO Rustam Nawaz said that the incident occurred near Lane-II, of Munir Fountain Bungalows, Block-19, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. He added that early Wednesday morning Khalid Anwer, along with his son, Rehman after offering Fajr prayers, were heading towards New Sabzi Mandi, as Khalid Anwer is a trader of sugarcane, in their car. On their way another men came across their car opened indiscriminate fire due to which both father and son received four each bullet wounds. SHO Nawaz said that, they were under treatment and were pronounced out of danger. They belong to Peshawar. A case was reported at the police station and it seems that it was an attempted target killing.
