Lahore: Man shot down
LAHORE: As reported by the Dawn News on Thursday, two men along with their father allegedly gunned down their brother-in-law Muhammad Sharif, a resident of Bund Road, when he refused to send back his two angry sisters with them in Shafiqabad police limits on Sunday. Police investigators said that one Abdul Jabbar married his two daughters to his two close relatives Muhammad Younus and Jan Muhammad few months back. The girls used to quarrel with their husbands over petty issues as a result of which they had to come back to their maternal home. However, Mohammad You-nas and Jan Mohammad often visited the girls with a view to reconciliation but to no avail. Police maintained that a couple of days back Younas and Jan Mohammad along with their father Sher Zaman again visited the girls maternal home and urged them go back which they reportedly refused. The investigators said the accused had a quarrel with the deceased Sharif, son of Abdul Jabbar, at which he had got registered a case against them in Shafiqabad police station. On Sunday, both the accused again come to Sharif’s house and called him outside. When he came out, the accused opened indiscriminate firing on him, as a result, he suffered severe injures. He breathed his last at a hospital,” a family member said requesting anonymity. Police registered a murder case against five people including Sher Zaman Khan and his two sons namely Younas and Jan Mohammad. Further investigations were underway with no arrest till filing of this report.
