Rawalpindi: Man deprived of Rs 50,000 by fake cops
RAWALPINDI: As reported by the Dawn News on Thursday, two men impersonating as policemen robbed a man of Rs50,000 at Benazir Bhutto Hospital on Wednesday. Mohammad Bashir, a resident of Abbotabad, had come to Rawalpindi to get his sick son’s CT scan from Benazir Bhutto Hospital. As he was leaving the hospital with his six-year-old son Mubashir he was intercepted by two persons who came in a car. They posed themselves as Crime Investigation Agency’s officials and asked him for body search. “I had already been in distress due to my son’s sickness so I obeyed their orders and showed them my national identity card but one of them pounced upon me and grabbed the cash bag and fled,” the robbery victim said. He said on hearing his shouts, some traffic wardens standing at Chandi Chowk turned towards him but they were unable to catch the culprits.
