1 found shot dead in Korangi
KARACHI: As reported by the Dawn News on Friday, a young man was found shot dead in Korangi area on Thursday, police said. They said that some passers-by found the body lying in 100 Quarters area and informed the area police. “The body was lying near a playground,” said Sub-Inspector Atif Shah, the SHO of the Zaman Town police station. “The victim was wearing a shalwar-kameez and sustained two bullet wounds. It seems that someone kidnapped and killed him somewhere else before dumping his body here which is comparatively an isolated place.” Although the victim remained unidentified, the investigators said that the features of the youngster suggested that he belonged to the Bengali community which had seen some three of his youngsters killed in a month allegedly because of a dispute between two groups. “The body has been shifted to the Edhi morgue for want of identification after the medico-legal formalities at the Jinnah hospital,” added the SHO.
