97th school blew up in Bajaur Agecy
KHAR: As reported by The News on Monday, the militants blew up another government-run school in Bajaur Agency on Sunday, tribal sources said.
The sources said that a group of militants planted explosives at the building of the Government Boys’ Primary School in Mandal in Salarzai subdivision and then triggered blasts with a remote-controlled device. The structure of the school was completely destroyed and the nearby buildings were partially damaged in the explosions, the sources added.
The number of educational institutions so far destroyed by insurgents in the militancy-hit Bajaur Agency has risen to 97. No casualty was, however, reported because the building was vacant at the time of explosions.
