Karachi: 6 bandits held, including 3 women
KARACHI: As reported by the Daily Times on Monday, the Shah Faisal police claimed to have arrested six alleged bandits including three women after a shootout in the wee hours of Sunday. Police said that six robbers snatched a taxi bearing registration No PG-7492 on gunpoint and were escaping while the taxi driver informed the police, who chased the gang and asked them to stop. The suspects opened indiscriminate fire on the police and injured five people including three pedestrians, they said adding that when the police retaliated, a woman accomplice was injured and the other five were arrested. Police identified the suspects as Shahida, Shabana Sajid, Irfan and Sajid. Shahida and Irfan had two cases registered against them in 2009 at the Shah Faisal police station while further investigation is in progress.
