Lahore: Hospital attacked to kill rival
LAHORE: As reported by the Daily Times on Tuesday, panic gripped General Hospital on Monday morning when six armed men stormed into the hospital to kill an under-treatment patient.
Police said Mukhtar Ali had been shot by Ilyas Warraich 15 days ago in the Kalah Waan area of Gujrat.
The two men had developed an enmity six years back over an argument between their children.
Since then both have had several clashes, but 15 days ago Mukhtar was driving his car when Ilyas intercepted him. They started firing at each other in which Ilyas’s security guard died while Mukhtar was injured. Since then he had been admitted to General Hospital for treatment.
Early on Monday, six armed men, out of whom two were dressed as policemen, entered the hospital’s surgical ward and started firing, however, they missed Mukhtar, but his cousin got injured. Police has updated the first information report in Gujranwala, while the Factory Area police have also registered a case against the attackers on the complaint of Mukhtar’s family.
