Rawalpindi: Citizens deprived of 14 vehicles
RAWALPINDI: As reported by the Dawn News on Tuesday, six cars and eight motorcycles were stolen from different parts of the city, police said on Monday. Naseem Ahmed’s van (RIG-3497) was stolen from the Waris Khan area. Amir Ahmed’s car (IDN-2442) was taken away from Westridge while Mrs Naseem Mohammad Ali’s car (RIE-8118) was stolen from Saddar. Atif Javaid’s car (LRD-2726) was stolen from outside his house in Kartarpura. Sawar Khan’s car (RLA-5627) was stolen from Sadar Barooni, while a car (RLC-1285) was taken away from Chaklala Scheme III. Zubair Ahmed’s motorcycle (RL-847) was taken away from Wah Cantonment, Mohammad Zubair’s motorcycle (LL-035) was stolen from City police area while Mohammad Attique-ur-Rehman’s motorcycle (FDR-7354) and another motorcycle (RIL-8989) were taken away from Sadiqabad. Rana Manzoor Ahmed’s motorcycle (RIL-2166) was stolen from Waris Khan. Muzaffar Abbas lodged a complaint about theft of his motorcycle (RLF-5820) with the Banni police while Waqar Malik also lost his motorcycle (RIZ-3564) from the same area. A motorcycle (RIL-8989) was stolen from Jatli. Meanwhile, three unidentified gunmen entered a house in the Airport police area and took away Rs3.2 million gold ornaments, Rs37,500 prize bonds valuing and Rs56,000. In another incident, four persons impersonating as customers entered United Bakery in Chandni Chowk and robbed its staff of Rs40,000 and three cellphones at gunpoint and escaped. Just across the road a police check post and picket where policemen are present round the clock failed to notice the incident.
