KARACHI: As reported by The News on Wednesday, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was killed here Tuesday.
As per details, some armed men shot dead ASI Javed Khan in the Soldier Bazaar police limits.
Police said that the incident took place near Lakhpati Lawn, Soldier Bazaar.
The deceased was a Court Moharir of Liaquatabad Police Station.
On Tuesday morning he was going to the City Courts for the hearing of a case. When he reached the City Courts two armed men riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire and fled injuring Khan.
The public present at the scene shifted Khan to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The deceased sustained multiple bullet wounds. He was the resident of Liaquatabad Police Line. He has left behind a wife and four children. He hailed from the Hazara division.
Investigators termed the murder of ASI Khan as target killing. A case was registered and investigation is underway.
