Govt school destroyed in Khar
KHAR: As reported by the Dawn News on Wednesday, some unidentified persons bombed a government-run school at Nawy Kallay Village in Bajaur Agency on Monday night, residents said.
They said that unidentified persons planted explosives in the building at the night which exploded with a big bang. A portion of the building, including veranda and washroom, was damaged.
They said that the saboteurs again entered the building and planted more explosives. The Levies Force was informed about it and the explosives were defused. About 98 schools both for boys and girls had been damaged in Bajaur Agency during the last two years.
Meanwhile, security forces and militants exchanged fire near Khar. Militants opened fire at the security posts which resulted in hour-long gun battle. Both sides used heavy weapons. No casualty was reported.
