Islamabad: Union leader gunned down
ISLAMABAD: As reported by the Daily Times on Wednesday, Senior Vice President of CDA Mazdor Dost Group Raja Anwar has been killed in his house in the limits of Industrial Area Police Station.
The CDA union protested against the killing and gave police a three-day deadline for arrest of the killers.
Police sources said two persons knocked at the door of Raja Anwar’s house (Flat 2, Block 31) in Sector I-9/4 on Tuesday at 12:30am.
His son opened the door and called Anwar to meet the men. No sooner did Anwar came in their sight, they shot at him and ran away. Anwar’s son shifted him to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where doctors pronounced him dead.
Meanwhile workers of CDA Mazdor Dost Group reached PIMS and started protest against the murder and the police for failing to protect citizens.
